Wolverhampton v West Brom Preview

It is only nine miles from West Bromwich to Wolverhampton, but Sunday's visitors have come a long way since the reverse fixture in February.

That game was Roy Hodgson's first in charge of Albion, and Carlos Vela's stoppage-time equaliser earned his new side a point in the inaugural Premier League meeting between these hated rivals.
It left West Brom a point above the relegation zone, and three clear of Wolves. Fast forward 10 weeks and there are now eight points between the two sides, with West Brom safe from the drop after losing only once in nine games under Hodgson.
Wolves, on the other hand, are in big trouble, having registered only their second point out of a possible 15 at 10-man Birmingham last weekend. Manager Mick McCarthy is adamant his side will survive, with a trip to his former club Sunderland and a home match against Blackburn still to come.

Team news for Sunday lunchtime’s Premier League clash between Wolves and West Brom at Molineux (kick-off 12pm).
Mick McCarthy will give a late fitness test to striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake ahead of the derby.
Ebanks-Blake has missed the last two games with the hamstring problem which flared up again during the 1-1 home draw with Fulham a fortnight ago.
Fellow forward Kevin Doyle has a slim chance of being involved after recovering from a knee ligament injury but it is more likely he will be saved for the final two games of the campaign.
Winger Michael Kightly (groin) is a major doubt while midfielder Dave Edwards will not be considered after having an injection to relieve his back problem.
West Brom will be without suspended midfielder Paul Scharner.
The former Wigan player serves a one-game ban after being sent off for the first time in domestic football in his career during last weekend’s 2-1 home success over Aston Villa.
Baggies boss Roy Hodgson will check on the fitness of skipper Chris Brunt and defender Steven Reid before finalising his line-up. The duo missed the win over Villa with hamstring and calf injuries respectively.
