Since time machines are only the products of our clear and creative imaginations, it is not possible to go back and go ahead of time so you’d better make the most out of your time.

In 17th century England, Captain Simmons and his men burst into the room of his employer's daughter, Matilda, and demands to know where she is hiding the Doctor. She glances guiltily at a painting she's drawn of the Doctor, naked, posing as Poseidon, but insist that the Doctor isn't there. However, Simmons hears a sneeze and lifts up the edge of her skirt. The Doctor is hiding beneath, naked. The Time Lord insists that things aren't as bad as they look.

In 2011, Amy and Rory are at home and Amy is reading up on the incident. Rory isn't convinced that it's the Doctor, until they discover that he escaped the Tower of London in a balloon. Amy finds another entry about the Doctor's exploits.

During World War II, the Doctor helps Charles and several other British soldiers escape from a German POW camp.

Amy suspects that the Doctor is performing obvious acts in the past to get their attention in the present. She wonders why the Doctor hasn't contacted them in the last two months since he dropped them off, and they immediately receive an envelope, colored TARDIS blue, with a date, time, latitude, and longitude.
